El Tacote Tacos

Saw this food truck on the map and decided to try it out. It's beautifully delicious food with huge portions that are worth the money. I got asada fries, which was packed with flavor and a lot of meat, but I'm sure everything else is just as good.

I definitely recommend trying it out if you love some Mexicali food.

I ordered a Cali chicken burrito and a selection of tacos.

Burrito was ok, seasoning on the chicken was good and the beans and rice were well prepared. A bit heavy on the cheese though and balance overall was not quite right.

Chicken taco was standard although a bit on the dry side.

Fish taco was good, but perhaps the tortilla choice leads to a bit of a messy experience. Shrimp taco had a similar experience but the shrimp was very well cooked and seasoned.

I'd say this place is overall decent but perhaps could use a bit of work on the balance and selection of ingredients.

Food was delicious, great service. We definitely be back! Highly recommend the Cali burrito and the Milanesa torta

Came here on a Friday because we couldn't eat meat so we decided to try their Shrimp Tacos and wow that was one of the best shrimp tacos we've ever had!
Will definitely be back to try their other tacos

Was in the Northridge area for work and decided to check this new truck in the block that doesn't have any wrapping yet so I was very skeptical lol

One of the best tacos, Quesadilla and fish tacos we've ever tasted! The owner gave us a sample of their Birria Tacos Dorados and man, you have to order these if they have them again if you visit El Tacote

Highly recommend trying their fish tacos with the green sauce! It's not battered like some other place so you really get to taste actual fish!
