Delicious pork belly. Must come and try it yourself. Servings are generous and great value. The 부대찌개 is good too!

I saw this place randomly with my friends and decided to stop by. Its new so why not. I was so surprised cause the food was soo different and good. The meats were perfectly seasoned and so was the soup that we ordered. The service was great too which is rare in ktown.

Random ktown adventures...my friends and I literally stumbled upon this while crossing the street to another restaurant. Since we were still hungry from the first stop, we decided to walk back to GamBoJok and give it a try!

We were greeted at the door by the owner and was told the restaurant had just opened for a week. He suggested trying their bo ssam (pork belly wrap) which came with a side order of gamjatong (pork bone soup) for grand opening! That was perfect, cuz that was what we wanted to order!

Now, the pork belly here is marinated in soy sauce and spices which is more Chinese and is very different from the usual plain bo ssam dish. They have fully rendered all the fat off the pork belly. Each piece is very clean and tender. You’ll sense a light aroma from the star anise in the marinate which makes each bite very comforting. I don’t think I can go back to plain. The dish comes with a side of pickles veggies to wrap and banchan. The gamjatong was also a great compliment to the ssam. You can tell they cooked it for hours! The soup was light and savory and still contained a huge piece of rib.

The service was wonderful! There were a lot of small details that made the food and experience very satisfying! You can really taste the love! I hope others can share the same experience!
