Hook Chicken

Location and parking: Hook chicken's restaurant doesn't actually have a dine-in setting of a typical restaurant (dine-in is basically not ideal) and they share a kitchen with many other restaurants. It reminds me of Main Chicken at Santa Monica. As for parking, you would need to find street parking or go to the back of the building, there would be a gated parking for employees and park there for a limited time (you would be doing take out anyway, so this won't be an issue).

As for the food, this has to be the crispiest non-spicy (spicy ones aren't that great in my opinion) fried chicken I have tasted. The portions are huge too. Another reason I love their chicken is because they are very juicy and not too salty. This would be my go to non-spicy fried chicken from now on!

It was delicious! Ordering on the website was easy. The manager on the phone was clear and nice. Ready quickly.

Ordered the crispy sauce half red. Tasteful chicken that was balanced in a garlicky sauce. Would definitely try again. Unique place to pickup your food for me, but quick service.

First the good - I can say that the spicy (one flame) sauce was good and the drumsticks were cooked well and seasoned well.

Now the bad - 1. There is no phone number on the webpage. No one picks up the number on Google. 2. When you order, it doesn't tell you how long the wait will be. 3. Google Map is not really going to lead you to this place. Put "Pineway Food Pickup" as your destination. 4. It is difficult to park to pick up food. 5. None of this is really explained on the webpage. And because you can't communicate with the owners over the phone, it's difficult to get information. By the time I got the food, it wasn't crispy anymore.

Overall, the non-salty, crispy and spicy sauce was delicious. The child especially liked the cheese sprinkled on it
