Every single dish is so carefully crafted and thought out. Everything is full of flavor and comfort. I usually get the Cold Noodles for myself, and then order the Popcorn Chicken, and a pork/charshiu bun to share between two people and it leave you very full and satisfied! Don't miss out on the fries if you want more love, super crispy! Also, the teas are absolutely delightful. This place is my weekend go-to and never disappoints. You can feel the love in the food here. I love sitting outside and facing the street just to people watch.
The very best in my book. I can't wait to see more of chef Ryan's work. Everything at Needle drives so close to home and my heart. Pristine ingredients like no other restaurants at this level, wonderful cooking skills with the utmost care and love going into every single smallest dish. Don't miss out on Needle if you're visiting LA.
Not sure I understand why this place is so highly rated. You have to put in your order yourself, get your own cutlery, and the vibe was a bit like a cafeteria. The DIY ordering system could have been cool but it wasn’t super intuitive and pretty buggy. As for the food, the French fries were amazing but everything else was pretty bland. I don’t eat meat so maybe I missed out on the most popular things to order… but I do believe everything on a menu should represent the quality of a restaurant.
Needles is a great place to grab Cantonese in a simple and beautiful space. The plating is zen and the food is excellent. We especially love their sauces. We like dining inside the well thought out decor, if you intend to dine outside try not to go at rush hour.
The char siu here is out of this world, such juicy high quality meat! We came for the pork chop bun but they told us they haven’t had this on the menu for over a year now :(
They were a little slow with our order however the food made up for it. Second Dish is the udon which was ok. The lychee basil seed drink was also delicious.
