Poppy + Rose

I really liked the restaurant! Of course, the prices are high, but it's worth it! Dishes are very tasty! Thanks chefs! Large selection of wines, but prices bite. The waiters are always "available", do not make you wait. We will definitely come again! However, it is advisable to book tables in advance. It's hard to find a place even during the day on a weekend.

I reserved for brunch on the rooftop. Upon arrival, I parked on the street where the restaurant is and was too intimidated to walk down the street from my parking spot. I called the restaurant to cancel my reservation but heard on their automated message that the address for their parking lot was on the street behind the restaurant. I drove over there and parked in the lot directly next to the restaurant. It felt more safe and I felt comfortable walking up then. I had the chicken and waffle sandwich and it did not disappoint. It was so good! I also got the mimosas. Our server wasn't very attentive. We had to flag him down several times for water, more drinks, and to pay. Overall, it was a very cute spot with yummy food and I would recommend and eat here again.

If you can get a reservation, be sure to do so. Poppy & Rose reservations are for their outdoor patio (which I think was even nicer than inside). Their outdoor patio is on the rooftop of the nearby parking garage, with awesome views of Downtown LA.

The food and drinks were delicious. I ordered the Waffle Chicken Sandwich (their chicken & waffles, but with an egg). My meal was really good. The Chicken is cooked well, crispy, and topped with hot sauce. To our group the star is their Hash Brown.

Our server Nic was awesome, we look forward to coming back here next time we're in LA.

Chicken unlike anything you've had or maybe you have. But allow your palate to explore this experience. Conveniently located in the Flower District, make this spot your breakfast or brunch or lunch destination. My party had the Buttermilk fried chicken and waffles, fried chicken sandwich, and fried chicken bloody Mary, and were impressed with the tender, juicy, and lightly fried chicken. Did I mention spicy? Worth. Every. Bite.
