Romeo Wine Bar

This may be the most challenging review I ever write...there is simply no words that accurately capture the talent, the heart, and the flavors created by Chef Marco at @romeowinebar ...this man is truly a hidden gem. He possesses such a gift to balance flavors with simplicity and yet artisty and decadence. Everything...yes everything...we tasted tonight BLEW US AWAY.

For appetizers/tapas, we tried the Tuna Sashimi and the Grilled Octopus. The tuna came with avocado creme, basil and burrata and was so fresh and beautifully seasoned. The grilled octopus came with mashed potatoes and smoked peppers and was one the best octopus I have ever tasted! For pasta, we tried the Spaghetti Carbonara which was also light, and not overly heavy/too decadent. My favorite was the Risotto Gamberi e Limone - the risotto was perfectly cooked and the creaminess paired sooo well with freshness of the lemon. For desserts, the panna cotta with wild cherries is a SHOW STOPPER, and the chocolate mousse with caramel and salted peanuts is sweet without being too sweet. All dishes were beautifully plated and truly demonstrated how amazing Chef Marco is at his craft.

The decor at Romeo is also quite stunning but you wouldn't know, just by looking at first glance at this wine bar, that they have a fine dining chef hidden in back. Chef Marco...I applaud you...I will follow you anywhere. Can someone help me get this man a Michelin Star?!?!
