The Boiling Crab

I usually enjoy eating here but the most recent time I went was a bit disappointing. Maybe it's because it was quite busy, but our shrimp came out like warm instead of the usually steaming hot. Additionally I always get The Whole SheBang sauce, which is usually oily and slightly watery, but when I went last time, it was super dry, like a dry rub. I'll still give them 4 stars because it used to be good. Might give them another chance but will aim for non-busy times.

Very easy to order, but the prices are much higher than going to Redondo Beach or East Coast. Allows for a full seafood experience for opening the shells of the crabs & clams. I would try this place once, but the next time I would budget for this place and go for a special occasion.

This seafood spot is fantastic. I have been going here for 25 years and the service and the food has always been just excellent! This spot is small with only a few tables and seats- we waited one hour last night, but were happy to do so. The bucket of clams was outstanding as was my Argentine Shrimp plate. Can't wait to be back !

It was a completely new experience for me. Here, get ready to get messy. No plates, no utensils, hands only. It was fun to throw etiquette out the door. The food was really good, I definitely recommend "the whole sha' bang" seasoning. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The reason for the 4 star is the price. Seafood does tend to be more expensive, but as a non-LA-native, this was really expensive to me. A lot of the crabs were around $20-36/lb. If you've never eaten like this and are willing to splurge a little, this is the place for you.

The seafood here was great, as everyone understands. What surprised me were their fires and wings! They were very good. The price is a little bit high, but acceptable.
