Chimak House

Nice little mom and pop store. I was craving kimbap and of course went to Yelp for some ideas. It led me to Chimak House and I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the marinated tofu, spicy acorn cold noodles and 2 types of kimbap (bulgogi and tuna). The marinated tofu was good and seemed fresh. The spicy acorn noodles were yummy. I didn't think it was spicy, but then again my tolerance for spicy food is pretty high. The noodles had just the right amount of sesame oil and other seasonings. The kimbap was delicious and very filling on its own. They were generous with the kimbap filling. Everything tasted made to order. The service was friendly.

What a great addition to the already saturated Korean Fried Chicken market that's in Buena Park/Fullerton. Came here with my buddy Eddie and couldn't be more satisfied.

What's different with Chimak House is the passion driven by the owner. Other places have staff running the house, but here the owner makes sure every order is precisely taken care of and meets your needs.

The fried chicken is fresh, crispy and has the right amount of batter. The shocking spicy is truly spicy and meets my level tolerance.

With fried chicken, comes sides. You can't eat chicken without them. Sides are delicious here. The white radish gives a cool refreshing after taste after you bite down the on deep fried chicken batter. The coleslaw salad produces a nice crunch and blends well with the homemade thousand island dressing. The corn salad is amazing and provides another layer of dimension as you chomp down on the chicken.

Prices are competitive from chicken places in my area and I don't mind the extra drive for better carefully cooked and crafted attention to detail Korean fried chicken. Can't wait to take out from this place again and order more for friends and family.

Ordered for pick up by phone and it was a breeze! They had all the precautions set up with hand sanitizer available. More importantly, the food was BOMB. We got an order of shocking spicy half chicken and a drums &cutlet box set. The chicken was all real crispy and delicious. I LOVED the fries that came with the half chicken, pleasant surprise to find fries in my order lol. We got level 2 spicy, and it was very spicy... Painful for me to eat but my Thai boyfriend liked the level of spicy and thoroughly enjoyed it. Flavor was good, think I'll get level 1 for myself next time ? . The box set was a great deal, I couldn't eat everything in one sitting. Everything was well worth it and delicious. It even came with pickled turnips!!!! I highly recommend! Friendly staff and parking lot available ☺️

To say that the food was amazing is honestly an understatement.

We had the shocking spicy chicken & cutlet. The chicken was worth every penny, and they aren't kidding about the spicy part.

Definitely will be coming back again as they also provided such great customer service; no doubt that I finally found my new fave food spot with this hidden gem
