Good bbq. Mike made the experience legit talking about the smoking process. Meats all tasted great.
I had the two meat plate for the cost of a one meat plate [ coupon @ the counter ] with brisket & turkey, [ both were good ], two sides & a roll for $11.95. The green beans are really good but they were out. [ I got there 30 min they close. ] Is enough for me for two small meals or two can share if not starving. Can't get senior discount if using a coupon. Roll was hard this time, but normally it is good ...
Dickey's is becoming my new comfort food. As soon as you step inside, the smell of delicious BBQ is enough to make your mouth water! The beef brisket is my favorite, but the pulled pork is a close second. And the best sides- backed casserole (think mashed potatoes, but yummier) and mac & cheese ... great now I'm hungry.
Dickey's barbecue is the best Texas barbecue outside of the great state of Texas. They really know how to get the meat nice and smoky. Don't be fooled by any other barbecue restaurant that claims to be Texas barbecue this is absolutely the best. And Texans know how to cook a brisket unlike anyone else on this planet. The Pasadena location has everything. They have a fryer so they are able to make onion tanglers, Cris-cut potatoes and of course the exceptional and essential fried okra. Their green beans are flavorful and tender and their Mac and cheese is the creamiest you'll ever find. And don't forget a free softserve ice cream cone at the end of your meal. And prices are definitely reasonable. No highway robbery here just highway goodness!
