Went for their happy hour; got the sliders and a drink. My drink and sliders were good. But my friend's slider was still raw in the center. That was disappointing. They remade it and gave us a cookie.
My food was good. I got the chicken croque. I couldn't taste the maple butter so I used some of the BBQ sauce which went well on the sandwich. When I was almost finished I tasted the maple butter which was 9n about 1/4 of my sandwich. I was pleasantly surprised it taste really good! Fries were good too.
I am sure a lot of thought and discussion were made to the naming of this place. When you think crack shack, it definitely doesn't embody a fried chicken joint.
Getting a text from someone saying meet you at the Crack Shack sends a different kind of message but in this case it's fried chicken sandwiches.
The food is good and definitely filling. The kids meals are very kid sized portion. So if your child has a healthy appetite better to get two of the kids meals or order an adult entree for them.
They have a bunch of different sauces and all of them are good. There's a sauce for every taste buds(Kim chi BBQ sauce). Yup Kim chi! The food choices have a variety of flavors as well.
The environment and atmosphere are definitely kid friendly and they have a big screen to watch the big game. We will be back to try other food choices but the flame bird and pozole is definitely a must. This place is good! Crazy how this spot used to be a recording studio and love that they kept the label in it's honor.
Well done!
First time at this place today. My husband and I were there around 8pm. It was not crowded, just a decent group of customers. They have full bar and lots of seating areas with open concepts. So this place would be great for a weekend hangout dinner.
We ordered:
Half bird and devil eggs
The half bird came in 5 pieces with super crunchy chicken batter. The meats were moist and flavorful.
Thumbs up!
Devil eggs was BOMB! It was a mixture of sweet, sour, salty and spicy. One order comes with 4 pieces.
*all sauces and utensils are on the side the cashier area and they have a sink for to people to wash their hands at the front area.
Thoughts:
We love fired chicken and We would definitely come back to try their sandwiches and side dishes. Also, excellent customer services!
Thumbs up!
I LOVED the fried chicken. I really enjoyed the atmosphere. A lot of thought went into the open layout and the thoughtfulness of making it family friendly and a place for folks to hang out and have beverages as well. I love the hybrid furniture choices that blend wood benches with metal tables with colorful chairs.
