Upon hearing the name, you'd think it might be a pizza joint, or a restaurant that focuses on bread. But when you look into the restaurant, you see a giant neon taco and you figure it's actually Mexican food.
Their menu consists of tacos, burritos, bowls, tortas and various sides that can also be considered meals. Initially I thought it reminded me of chipotle, because of the way you choose a meat and build your meal around a taco, burrito or bowl. The beer battered fries caught my eye and I decided to try their carne asada fries, to remind me of my college days.
I went for the large since I planned to share, and the size did not disappoint! I was very happy with the amount of food we received and loved how the fries looked like little crescents (It was like a steak fry and a wedge had a baby)!
The fries were delicious. The carne asada was well seasoned, flavorful and tender. I loved how the fries were drizzled with nacho cheese sauce and all the different aioli's created a fiesta in my mouth.
I'm interested in trying their giant burritos when I get a chance. I'll just have a hard time choosing between the carne asada fries or a new menu item!
Delicious breakfast burrito and huge for the price. There is pico de galo in the burrito which adds a nice freshness. The burrito is not oily. I will definitely be coming back if I am craving a breakfast burrito again. Also there is parking in the back of the building so it was easy to pick up my burrito.
Great spot to grab some food via GrubHub. GrubHub has coupons and you'll easily hit the threshold of you're getting food for 2 or more people. Delicious stuff. The breakfast burrito is the hidden gem.
Quick spot for Mexican in Pasadena.
They let you get items in different forms - taco, burrito, torta, or bowl.
We got two veggie tacos - they were a bit hard to eat cause they were overfilled and small shells - I lost a lot of my filling sadly. The taco was good, but they weren’t the best veg tacos I’ve ever had.
We also got small beer battered fries. They were delicious and a nice treat.
The pricing was reasonable, which was great.
One thing that was less than ideal from my perspective - they use disposable plates and containers for everything. I wish they had reusable plating / baskets / etc for folks eating in.
