We found the food just slightly above average and a lot is just off.

Let's start with the name. If I didn't know it was Chinese Dim Sum, I would think Italian. Tony.

Then the white sign on a white building. The font doesn't give you any hint as to what kind of a restaurant it is - plain block letters.

Enter into a formal decor; tablecloths at lunch with cloth napkins and uniformed staff in jackets and ties. Elegant but in a dated way with no warmth.

Browse the faux leather bound menu. Plastic pages (way too many) with price change strips glued on to each item's description. Couldn't a place this fancy print new menus with the right prices? A strange place to save money.

The dishes are served in their bamboo steamer containers - a nice touch but each one takes up a lot of room on the table. It seems like each dish is prepared fresh but the overy tough shells tell another story. Reheated.

One of the dishes we ordered was Sticky Rice with Chicken. It came wrapped in a large leaf - and the flavor was good but.....why not pieces of chicken big enough that I could recognize them as chicken instead of looked and tasted like overcooked leftover bits.

They just opened, so we can forgive the non-stop parade of wait staff; but it was annoying. One just stared at us for long periods of time.

Thought we would end on a high note with an order of three egg custards. No flavor and soggy crust.

I hope they get it together because it would be great to have a first-rate dim sum restaurant in Old Town Pasadena.

Yummy new dim sum restaurant that is definitely worth a try. Very flavorful. Nice decor, and quick service. Best is that you ca have single pieces of different dim sums and explore the flavors. Enjoy!
