Nice restaurant and had a good chat with Sushi chef. He is very open to creating rolls; especially for my sons birthday. He made him a tuna roll with crunchy rice with eel sauce. Not on menu but my son loved it! Got the crispy rice spicy tuna, salmon skin salad, veggie tempura, rainbow roll, spicy scallops roll, salmon roll. Also tried the yellowtail belly and Spanish mackerel, both were fresh.
Sushi Karen is a favorite in our family, in fact my niece calls it "the best restaurant in the world." We followed him to his new location and are thrilled to see him doing what he loves. Toshi takes great pride in his sushi and it certainly shows. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Our favorites are the crunch roll, tuna carpaccio, uni and albacore. You and your guests will always be well taken care of at Sushi Karen. Be sure to grab a reservation as they are taking social distancing precautions very seriously!

I used to go to this place when it was in Culver City. Still great quality sushi and friendly chef and wait staff. The dinner sushi combo is quite filling. During covid 19 they have two small outdoor tables for outdoor dining and will do takeout. Please refer to menu photos on Yelp for what they serve and you can call to ask about specials. It's in a strip mall and there seems to be enough parking.
