The food was for someone else however they typically enjoy their food. The staff was friendly and helpful. The establishment appeared neat and clean.
The food was good, I bought fried oysters, fried red snapper, pork ribs, rib tips and hot links. The fish was excellent, the ribs were a lil dry, but still good. The sides were greens, yams, mac and cheese, and black eyed peas.
The service was just ok. I feel the customer service could definitely be improved upon. The credit card/cash register crashed and the female server was busy on the phone trying to get help to getting it back on, it took quite a while for someone to come from the back to help us with bringing out the rest of our food. The owner didn't seem to care that there were 3 tables of dine-in patrons. He made no effort to speak to any of us, or offer any assistance. When someone finally did come from the back to help us, he was very friendly, a showed a willingness to serve.
I'm someone who eats out a lot, so I'm pretty big on customer service as well as good food, I'm not sure if I would dine in again. I felt the owner could of kicked in and helped make the patrons feel comfortable and valuable, maybe they should consider having a minimum of 2 servers available for the dine-in guests. So people won't have to search for a waiter.
I. Had the two ribs and chicken plate for $7.99. It came with one side. I had fries. I found the tast of the meats to be excellent, the fries crispy and tasty. It was more then enough and even came with corn bread. Most plates run around $12, which is a very modest price when considering the amount of food you will get. They offer fish dishes as well which I intend to try on my next visit. The restaurant is in kind of s rough area, but I nothing too drastic, so I recommend daylight hours. They offer take out and have some hard to find menu items like chicken necks and hot wings. I recommend this place as the food is wonderful , the service is friendly, and the price moderate.
Great family owned BBQ restaurant. We ordered the catfish and filet of sole from the lunch menu and they were delicious! We also ordered the 3-meat lunch. All the sides we're really good and tasty. We love all the sides we ordered from this place (greens, hush puppies, sweet potatoes, and fries). Don't forget to try their peach cobbler. It was delicious! Great place to bring your family. Our kids like this place too. Definitely recommend! Great customer service! We will definitely go back!
