Definitely try the 1/4 Roll. You don't have to be in a high dollar rent district to get sushi this good. Oh - and the lady who serves you is the happiest person you'll meet. And she'll teach you some Japanese too!”

“It's a small little hole in the wall place (which are usually the best) The plates were most satisfying with an incredible amount of food, considering the price, you definitely get what you paid for and then some. There wasn't much staff, as it certainly isn't needed for how small and comfy it was, and the wait for the food was a good while considering it wasn't busy, but in my opinion, well worth the wait. They were all really friendly and acknowledge us as we were entering and leaving. I will surely be coming back.”

“I was very pleased by the quality of service and food received on my first visit. Very uppity place, the service never makes you feel like you're beneath the ambience. Very pricey but very good. I split the swordfish and clam chowder with a friend, which both were absolutely delicious. We both had a glass of wine. And the bread basket was a surprise it came with an assortment of 4 types of bread, one which was addicting with it's toasted Parmesan cheese on top and asked caraway in the middle. The waiters seem to know exactly when to check I'm and we had a lovely view of Catalina island and the setting sun.”

“This place is cool and divey and had a good vibe. The beers are all local I believe which I love. They have some games which always sells me on a place. It wasn't too loud either which can sometimes happen at a bar. The bathroom was clean. Definitely recommend checking it out!”

Our waiter however, we were sitting at our table before the meal with our menus closed after looking at them for a good while for about 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged we were there. We got water and bread. Eventually our waiter came up to take our order. Then afterwards we had to wait an excessive amount of time for our bill. Our waiter did not once even make eye contact with our table. We were in the middle of the restaurant so I don’t know how that happened. BUT 3 stars because the food was amazing. I had a very delicious lamb shank. The service just seemed to completely overlook our table.”
