Summer Rolls

Good food. Unremarkable service.

This is one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants. Their Summer Rolls (spring rolls) are the best! And the sauce that comes with it takes it to another level. One can never go wrong in ordering these. They come in beef or pork. I always opt for the beef...but 8t is more expensive than it's pork counterpart. These rolls are pretty sizeable too. They come in plates of 4 and I'm usually full after eating two! It's supposed to be an appetizer but 8 order it as a meal itself. Their Bun dishes are good too... especially great in a hot summer day! The charbroiled pork is really tasty. I prefer it over the lemon grass beef even though that is also good.

It can get fairly busy during peak hours, so expect to wait on average 20-40 minutes.

Food is good, and always full capacity. That's why they try to rush you to finish your food for next customers. Service is bad

This place is famous for their rolls, their noodles (this is not a Pho place though) are OK. The Bun Bo Hue didn't taste as if it was simmered for hours and there was a large helping portion of MSG. Expect a long wait though and parking can be challenging. This is not your typical rice paper pre-made rolls (although they do have them) but the authentic rolls where you have to roll it yourself dipping rice paper wrapper in warm water and building your own roll (for me, I was too lazy and ate it separately). Their rice plate is something you can skip though. Their Banh Xeo came out in big portion (reminds you of Vietnam) and one of the best I had in the U.S. Their Banh Xeo (according to my friends) was good but not something I know how to admire nor a fan of myself.
