(February 11, 2020, 5:04 am)Was craving gyukatsu and found this gem. This is the only gyukatsu place in the area. Came here on a Sunday at 6pm and the restaurant was about 75% full, no wait.
Items were very similar to authentic japaneze style gyukatsu: the miso soup, rice, cabbage slaw, ponzu and horseradish sauce. Taste was def not as good as the ones in japan, but for the price and availability, I’d say it’s quite worth it. Careful not to overcook the beef too much. The fire ocassionally goes out on the small grill, let them know and they’ll relight it.
Also got the creamy curry udon. They also got the Japanese curry taste right with this dish. However the dish was too creamy for my taste. But def give it a try! -
