PiChaiYuan Hot Pot (劈柴院火锅)

The soup was delicious, and the wait people were very friendly. I'm giving it three stars because 1. the portions of each order were small for the price, 2. After my friend who was responsible for ordering submitted our orders, everything had arrived except the soup base we supposed to dip everything in. After a long wait, we decided to go to the counter to ask, but it turned out there is another step to order the soup base which my friend had missed. It was our fault not to submit the order properly using the online order, but the wait people could have been more attentive to check if we've got everything we wanted. Is it not strange that people come to a hotpot restaurant not to order a hotpot, have all this raw food, including meat and fish? Lol, coming sense!!

Good quality meats with huge portions. 毛肚很脆!! Black tripe is fresh and crunchy. Kobe beef is fatty and buttery. I like the pork stomach and chicken soup the most. The use the copper pot which I haven’t seen too often. The price is not so bad even without the promo. Highly recommend!

Everything is good, meats are great snd the size of the serve is amazing. The only thing i wish can ve better is the veget size can increase a bit.

New owner, big discount going on, had some doubts but it turns out fine. Their BBQ is actually pretty good. Need more time to see how it goes.

It opens at 5, we arrived at 4:30, but the restaurant still let us in and wait, the service was very good. Affordable price and great taste!
