Chaparral Lanes

Great place, very friendly and clean. They have a great snack bar and well-kept bowling lanes. Occasionally things break down, but they fix everything quickly (if you alert them). Very busy and very popular attraction!

We had fun, and that’s what really counts. The place was very busy and we arrived as a League night was beginning so even though there was no line to wait in - service was slow as the employees worked out a number of kinks with getting teams computers up and running. Despite that, the employees remained friendly. The place is a little run down and the balls they supply have been used hard and have massive gouges as a result. The lanes seemed to be kept in good condition (although I am not a regular bowler so I don’t have much knowledge on lane quality).

Warm food and a full bar are on site but we did not partake as food and drinks are not allowed at the area where you gather to bowl. An eating area sites about 15 feet back which seemed like an old-school design. You can either skip eating and bowl or sit back and eat while you hold up an unused lane that other people might want to use or try to do both as your food gets cold... if you don’t mind that you won’t be washing your hands after gripping the (well used) ball between bites.

We visited the counter a number of times to get the lane set up to have gutter guards for one player only but it seems it was all players or none. The employees tried repeatedly to make adjustments through their computer to our players set-ups but it just didn’t work. To make the game fun for all we decided stick with guards for all.

We would go back but do recommend that the owners put some money back into the place to clean it up and provide some modern bowling alley layout and amenities.

It has become an annual tradition for my family to meet at Chapparal Lanes every Christmas Eve to bowl a few games before our holiday dinner. In years past, I stay home to get the feast ready. This year I joined in the fun. It was wonderful! The owner greeted us like we were old friends. She was delightful. The bowling alley was spotless and the lighting was perfect. Pride in ownership sure showed. There was non stop Christmas music on. Lots of classics. We had the best time bowling. There were several families there. Everyone looked to be having as much fun as us. What a great festive occasion. A definite 5 STAR destination!

The best bowling alley around, especially for all it does beyond bowling. The lanes are numerous and well maintained. The staff hard working and helpful. But after or instead of bowling you can enjoy much more. They have a nice arcade selection including some truly vintage pinball. The bar & resturant has free darts, giant Connect Four, and affordable pool and table shuffleboard. We will definitely drive past the 2 bowling alleys nearer us to go again.

The BEST place for bowling! The staff is very helpful, friendly, and accommodating. The facility is also maintained well. Nice, clean, and well lit. Never looks dirty or in state of disrepair. Good food too!!
