Taipei Bistro

This is a casual eatery serving authentic Taiwanese dishes. The owners were super friendly and gave us extra items to try since they heard that we drove down from NorCal. Beef Noodle soup and deep fried pork chops over rice were the signature dishes and didn't disappoint. Give it a try if you are in the Alhambra/Monterey Park areas of LA and craving for some Taiwanese food.

Get the Bao! I think it's authentic and unique at the same time. They use a peanut powder to sweeten up the braised pork belly, and a relish to add another tart flavor dimension. It's 5 stars! The rest of the cuisine is solid and authentic Taiwanese cafe food (popcorn chicken, noodles), and even though I haven't tried it, they seem to be well known for the their spicy noodle and have awards on the wall for their noodles.

Great place to try home cook Taiwanese food. I had the Drunken chicken and it was very tasty

Definitely a hidden gem in the area. Small shop and no fancy decor but the food is great. Sometimes they have special off the menu item like intestines wrap sticky rice and sausage. Pricing is very reasonable as well.

If you love Taiwanese food, you gotta come here. All the dishes are delicious and mostly authentic. The owner lady is super friendly and talk with you like an old friend, and is trustworthy. My daughter loves 大腸包小腸 and I love 滷肉飯, 控肉, pork bun. 冬瓜茶 is really genuine too. Really awesome food in this part of LA, and better than 302. Don't be disguised by the exterior.
