Been a long-time customer here. Recently the quality seems to have gone down a bit. Honestly, for the price of a combo I would probably consider going to an AYCE KBBQ spot with more meat/sides variety and similar tofu soup in the fixed price. However, I'll probably still come back if I'm craving the tofu soup as the specialty.
It was good but since I had not been there for a while, I could tell the difference on the Tofu soup. It used to be great but now is just ok. The other dishes were better and the service was good and fast.
Would I recommend it??? Yes, but is not the best anymore.
Updated(originally I gave a 2):
It’s a 5-star now!! I asked for the manager but she wasn’t there today BUT one of the co-workers, Wendy, took the time to listen to what I had to say. She even went to check the cameras :0 I thought that was that but then she went through the hassle to ask them all and I happened to be in the private room area so she didn’t know that I saw ???? (props to her for her integrity) anyway a few minutes later she comes in to apologize and then she gave me a $25 gift card and I was honestly befuddled and I told her that it was okay but she insisted. Thank you, Wendy!! I hope you get employee of the year ????
The food is pretty good so they don’t deserve a 1 Star. But I just had a terrible experience when I used the restroom. Sorry not sorry that I have lady needs and that using 1 of 2 restrooms a little longer is a problem. But a worker came to attempt to open the door so the first time I just thought he didn’t know. The second time he tried opening the door, he brought his friends and spoke something in Spanish and laughed. The third time he came back I said “what?” It’s common sense that you really can’t rush someone who is occupied finishing their business. Think about it like this, why the hell would anyone want to stay in a public restroom longer than they need to???? Anyway, this disrespectful dude came back and hella jerked the handle while laughing again. So I’m writing this review.
Young dong is a long-standing Korean restaurant on Las Tunas. They're most famous for their tofu soups... Which come in a variety of flavors, from chicken to Seafood to pork. We ordered barbecue pork, and that was delicious.. the rice in stone bowl is very well worth trying. You could go low carb here... Everything was prepared well.
