Went there for lunch and was very pleased, Got the Hot Pastrami sandwich, as good as or better than some of the famous Jewish Delis found in So Ca.
The meat was cut so thin and very flavorful and they piled it high and the side I had was the French Fries they were verygood and hot like they should be. The price is in line with any sandwich or Deli establishment thats worthy of the quality received

My wife and I recently discovered Nicole's Deli and Grill about 5 days ago when we were in the middle of running some errands in the nearby shopping area. We decided to give it a try. Our first impression when we walked in was that it was somewhat bare-bones without a lot of atmosphere going on. The atmosphere for a deli type restaurant isn't necessarily the most important thing, as delis normally are rated by the quality of food they serve. We ordered a tuna melt which was very good, I especially enjoyed the bread that it came on, I have had better but this was actually very good and the pricing was fair.

Today Sunday morning, we found ourselves in the area, we don't live that far from the restaurant. Although we were going to be meeting another couple in a two hours for lunch at another local restaurant we were just a tad hungry and decided let's try Nicole's for something as they serve breakfast all day. When we walked in at about 11:30 a.m. the restaurant was empty with the exception of one other couple. We both immediately could smell a sulfur type odor kind of like maybe rotten eggs? I asked the server behind the counter if a pipe was broken or was there something we should know about the odor and she said "no everything was fine" . So we said okay and placed an order for a cheese omelett with home fries to split (remember we were going to be meeting a couple for lunch in about 2 hours), so splitting a meal was ideal. and some hot tea, she said they don't offer tea only coffee. We don't drink coffee so I asked for water. We tried sitting at a table inside while waiting for our omlett but the odor was getting to us so we told the server we were going to sit outside as they have about two or three tables in front. The tables had nothing on them no decoration or flowers or setups which I guesss was okay. A few minutes later the server brought out our meal with two forks and one knife because we told her we were going to split it, I asked if we could have a second plate (which she should have anticipated) I also asked her if they had any condiments like salsa or ketchup, salt and pepper she said yes. In a few minutes she came back out with two tiny plastic cups with what seemed to be store bought salsa from a jar, which was again just okay, she quickly left before I could request a second knife and maybe a couple of napkins but we never saw her again. By the way, the plate was lacking appeal with no garnish and the cheese was not completely melted.

This isn't meant to be a negative review. We do plan on visiting Nicole's again, as we believe in second chances and because we realize they are a new restaraunt in the area and probabley need some fine tuning and customer service improvent's like being more relational with their customers and impoved table service. They have a great location and a good sandwich selection which I feel can eventually bring them great success.

I wish Nicloes all the best and expect them to succeed and hope to someday see a line outside for customers to get in. I also belive that our next vist will be a five star rating.

If you are ever in the area I strongly suggest you pay a visit to Nicole's after all "practice makes perfect" and I'm sure they would love to know how they are doing.
