Signal Hill Black Bear Diner

Large potions. Good prices. Good old fashioned American comfort food. Food lis good but not great. Place can be VERY busy at times, especially on Sunday’s. Parking is limited and there are sadly only two handicap spots.

Love black bear. Have been to several in western us. Huge portions of comfort food. Lots of homemade like corn beef hash. This location can get pretty crowded with long wait times. Had a roof leak last time we were there. Worth the trip if you're hungry. We've enjoyed breakfast lunch and dinner

I was recommended Black Bear Diner from a friend and it was the best recommendation. I took my other friends for an early lunch. The place wasn’t too packed, so we were seated right away. At first, I was confused where the menu was, but this place has a unique menu in the newspaper. You read through the newspaper to see the menu items. Our server was nice and patient because we asked for more time before placing our order. I ordered a club sandwich with fries and a side of ranch. The sandwich was delicious, and the bread wasn’t burned. I want to go back to try the other different menu items. The atmosphere takes you back to the diner setting where you can unwind and enjoy a nice meal.

Food was excellent and the serving size for the price was amazing. The server was pleasant and helpful. I only waited 10 minutes to be seated. And my toddler ate everything which is unusual.. love this place...
