Torrance Black Bear Diner

Great place. Was a nice little restaurant that made you feel like you were eating at a mom and and pops place in big ear mountains.
They have a tiny gift shop type corner type deal. So be aware the kiddos will want to take something home. I'll be back again

Black Bear Diner in Torrance is the best. The staff is Amazing. And the food is so so Good. And Mama Bear is the best. She made me feel like I was home. So comforting and sweet

Charming decor, big portions, but the wait time between ordering and receiving food is UNBEARABLY long (about an hour). Looking at other reviews, there seems to be a huge bottleneck in the kitchen. During the wait, there were no check-ins from staff to see how we were doing. It would have been nice for them to acknowledge a long wait or to refill drinks.

What the shining jewel here was the waitress. She was beautiful inside & out. We had the eggs benedict. They were great. Potatoes so, so. Great cup of coffee.

Have visited this location several times and each time I have been greeted by the most Amazing Hostess by the name of Jeanette!!
Her warm, friendly, inviting and gregarious personality immediately welcomes you in and makes you feel at right at home..she even stops by our table and so sweetly and hospitably checks in on us!!! I look forward to each visit here at the Black Bear Diner because of Jeanette and her great interaction!! She is an Awesome asset to this establishment!!!
