I came to spires with Chauncey. I like it here. Spires is old fashioned but adorable place. :^)
Some of the food, breakfast, salads, fries are great, but the French Dip tastes as old as the seating booths. The restaurant on the inside is old and very tired, like you stepped back in time to 1979. Nice people, good service.
Our server was very friendly and took good care of us! His name is Oscar! Always served everything with a smile! Always anticipated our needs! He's the very BEST! Thank you to OSCAR!
Breakfast is meh. But the servers are nice and fairly attentive. Only went because my elderly mom likes it.
I had the pancakes and bacon, which I asked for crispy; it almost made it there. The pancakes looked perfect: thick and evenly browned, but were tough and flavorless, as was their butter and whatever it was they passed off as maple syrup.
HOWEVER, they make the very best fried zucchini I've ever eaten.
