This Curry place is really good. I usually get their Chicken Curry with a smaller portion of rice. They also have a mini salad you can add on for $2.
We went here in a friend's recommendation, and we were not disappointed. The wait staff were friendly and quick. The prices were right. Most importantly, the food was delicious. There was plenty of variety in the menu, and everyone was pleased with what they got. I had a curry udon that combined curry with soup, and was perfect for a chilly evening. It was busy, so we had to wait to be seated, which frustrated the kids. Also, in a small space when it's busy it gets loud. Other than that, a great experience all around.
I always have to ask for a knife. And sometimes I get one! Curry House is just better if you are craving just some basic Japanese curry. This place is good but nothing that makes it stand out. Service is generally better at Curry House as well.
I have loved CoCos for 22 years since discovering it while stationed in Okinawa. I was so happy they came to the US. Their food looks so basic in the menu and it makes you wonder how good it could be, but the flavors are incredible and complex. The chicken cutlet is one of my favorites, surprisingly cheese is also a good compliment to the curry. Their spice levels of 1-10 let you customize your heat level. Even a level 2 or 3 has a decent medium kick, I ate some level 5 and 6 when I was younger and for me that's pretty dang hot! This place is legit and so good it'll spread across the country eventually, it's too good not to!
This place is much roomier than the Irvine location. Same great food, same great service, without the Irvine congestion. If your out this way it's definitely worth making a detour for the food. My regular is a chicken cutlet with cheese, regular rice level 3 spice. Perfection from the land of the rising sun.
