Golden Pheasant

I work very close and frequently visit with my coworkers. We all love this place! Hands down best Chinese food. Good taste and good portions. Friendly staff.

Huge portions and good food. I had to wait 30 minutes for my takeout order for 3 items which was a bummer but it was worth it. It is understandable why this place is so popular. I live in hermosa but make the trip to Golden Pheasant for the value and quality "authentic-ish" Chinese food vs what we have available at the coast. A 5 star review might only make this place more popular, and my wait longer, but they deserve it.

I hadn't been to this restaurant in over 40 years. I was pleasantly surprise to see that it was not only still open but still run and owned by the same family.
My mother ordered Peking Duck as well as a bunch of other goodies for Christmas Dinner. She asked me to go and pick up the food to go to which I obliged.
The staff was friendly, even helped me take the food to my car. When I got it to my mother's place she was very upset. While we got the duck it was just duck, not Peking Duck and my mother assume the staff figured I wouldn't know the difference since I'm half white. On top of that the Peking Duck costs $10 more.
I don't know if this was an accident or as my mother suspects on purpose because they were very very busy that afternoon. In any event it put a downer on our Christmas Dinner as we we're all looking forward to Peking Duck.

Great place. Pleasantly surprised at the huge delicious portions! Would definitely recommend and will for sure be back!

Been coming here since the late 80s. Gone through many owners and remodels. There food was great then really dropped in quality but now its the best its ever been. Portions are huge. The fried pork chops are amazing. They have there own twist on orange chicken. Everything taste fresh.
