Finally, a decent dim sum place in the South Bay area. They have authentic good quality dim sum and it is their 4th location outside Alhambra, Cerritos, and Pasadena. They have many authentic Chinese dishes other than dim sum and they are all authentic and very tasty. Lunasia is one of the top dim sum places in LA and it is definitely the best dim sum/Chinese restaurant in South Bay area. However, they are not cheap, but it is totally worth it for that kind of quality of dim sum/dishes. The people working there are super friendly and make good recommendations on dishes.

Quick tips: Make sure you sing up on Yelp waitlist beforehand to avoid a long wait. They do serve dim sum all day till 8pm. You will need to use a QR code to order items from the menu. They are located right across Vegan Bowls/Yi fang Taiwan Fruit Tea and next to Bed Bath & Beyond.

Best Mongolian beef I have ever had in a restaurant. The char siu pork was delicious a must try spot IMHO. The dim sum was better than what I have had in Flushing New York definitely coming back with friends and family.

First time at this new business in our neighborhood!

The food was very good. And the prices good also. Atmosphere is very nice. Good service and responsive workers! Lots of patrins which is good indicator of good food. Their menu is extensive!

We will come back to try other dishes! :-)

This popular upscale dim sum chain finally opened up in the South Bay. The manager said they have only opened for a week. So far so good, there are still a few kinks to work out but we think it’s pretty good.

    Pluses:
+ Good quality ingredients and recipe. With simple siu mai, spare ribs, and chicken feet, you can tell they don’t sacrifice quality
+ Good decor and ambiance, outdoor seating looked nice but was closed on the Tuesday noon when we visited
    + book ahead on Yelp
+ a few unique items like tofu
+ no push carts, order online, they come out hot, 1-2 items at a time, online ordering gives opportunities to customize sauces (like add XO for additional charge)
+ though the staffs were all new, they were helpful and friendly

    Minus:
    - pricer than other nearby places like Szechwan
    - the food presentation was basic, not on par with the ingredients and price
    - trash/dirty dishes near our table, they just drop dishes into it and made sudden loud noises, several times during our meal. This is not on par with the upscale feel they are projecting
    - even with a good selection, not all the traditional items are available so check to make sure you are not disappointed

Newly opened as of this week! They have other locations in Pasadena, Alhambra, Cerritos and now Torrance! They have traditional dim sum dishes while coming up with some inventive one such as Scallop Dumpling with Squid Ink or Truffle Siu Mai. My favorite is the Spinach Shrimp Dumpling. Flavorful and pretty!

The classic dim sum plates (Hargow, Siu Mai, etc) are bigger here too, which is why they are called jumbo, so worth the price as they are filling. Definitely want to share these!

Service was very friendly and helpful. They are still new so smoothing out their own process, but are running well. Definitely glad they are here!

Instead of the classic carts strolling about, you order from a QR code that has your table number associated with it and they bring it fresh from the kitchen.

It's located in a strip mall too with plenty of parking where you can have dim sum for brunch or dinner! Can't wait to come back!
