Pupusas de la Reina

I love Salvadoran food. My husband is Salvadoran. My son wanted to try this place. The pupusas taste just like my sisters in law. My favorite was the calabasa one and loroco with cheese. They are delicious!!! The pastelitos were made fresh and are delicious as well. The fried yuca was perfect and flavorful and super crunchy. You can taste the quality of the oil and ingredients. The chicharon was perfect and I loved the tomato sauce that came with it. The people were super sweet and friendly. I live in Claremont but I will be coming back often. Plenty of parking. In a safe area. I am taking home Salvadoran quesadilla which is a sort of cake you eat with coffee or hot cocoa. I am also taking home crumbly rice cookies. I am thrilled we found this place. They just opened in November.

I recently tried the pupusas from Pupusas de la reinA this is the best in town and I was blown away by the generous amount of meat and bean + cheese filling. The mix option is a must-try as it combines the best of both worlds. The flavors were authentic and the pupusas were cooked to perfection, making it the ultimate go-to spot for delicious and satisfying Pupusa 🫓 . (It is kinda expensive tho you show have student discount to also have to be a little faster on speed) Overall 5 stars 😋

Sometimes you just want a pupusa or yuca con chicharrón! This is the spot. They also have Grilled chicken. Definitely a go to for classic Salvadorean dishes. Support, support, support mi gente latina!

The best pupusas in this area!!! To be able to support her from her small stand to now her own restaurant makes you feel proud as a customer. Anyone who complains about how long the waiting time was yesterday probably has no idea how far she has come. I will continue to support her not only because she makes the most delicious pupusas in town, but also because their customer service has always been perfect. I can’t wait to see how far you guys will go.

We absolutely love their pupusas! Very friendly staff and you can tell this family is hardworking and very united. It's understandable that service takes a little
time until they get used to the rhythm of the restaurant, but honestly, it's best to wait for good food than get fast service and the food be drenched in grease or just simply be disgusting. Our go to will always be this place!
