    Classic LA eatery with colorful characters as wait staff. Basic American diner food done very well. It's exactly what you want in this kind of joint. The ham for breakfast is really good. Not lunch meat but a legit ham steak. Excellent bacon too. Coffee was lovely. Accepts AMEX. ✌️

    Went in for a burger, it was great. Had the "Famous Mel Burger"--prepared just right, tasty. And loved the decor! A must stop place if you ever find yourself on the Sunset Strip. (Sorry, I flipped my burger upside down before I took a picture.)

    Place was great and we truly enjoyed ourselves. We actually went there after leaving the one
    on N Highland .What a difference in the two - Mel"s on N Highland is a disgrace to the food industry ! However, the Mel's on Sunset boulevard was a pleasure. Everyone was nice, accommodating and my food was served hot and fresh. Servers and staff all so very pleasant and made our dining experience enjoyed. Our server was Erica and this lovely young lady was always kind and outgoing even though the restaurant was very busy. Thank you Erica for turning our bad experience at Mel's on Highland into a great one at Mel's Sunset Blvd .Hope they appreciate all their wonderful staff.

    We were starving at 2am in the morning after being at some gay clubs and this place was a godsend. Really good food, fun tunes, and helpful staff. Recommended if you need a late night feed.

    Great meal, wonderful service. Thank you Juan j ...you made our day. Good old fashion real food. I couldn't eat all my turkey dinner there was a lot there! Great atmosphere and good ole 50's music!
