Chef Alfonso Ramirez

I had both the honor and the pleasure of working with Chef Ramirez a short time ago. He is not only a "GREAT" chef, he is simply a wonderful human being. His love for his craft and obvious love for people is something to be admired. I struggle with calling him simply a chef as he should bear the title of "craftsman", the same way that Japanese cooks refer to themselves.

Chef Ramirez is a culinary innovator, a true professional that takes his love for cooking above and beyond what anyone might expect. At one point in my life I thought I knew what Mexican food was all about. (Like most native Californians) That is until I had the opportunity to taste food prepared by this master. It is my complete and unbiased opinion that Chef Alfonso Ramirez is by far one of the best 'chefs" our world has to offer. NO DOUBT!

If you have the opportunity to taste just one dish prepared by Chef Ramirez you'll find yourself questioning everything you thought you knew about cooking and Latin foods. He is, in my opinion, a culinary genius and a gift to our planet.
