Our first visit was a mid-week late lunch. Simone was the waiter who greeted our party of three. For quiet conversations, he suggested a rear deck location, partially sunny that included a small gurgling fountain.

Our guest was of Italian descent and quite a food connoisseur. All of our appetizers were entrees were delightful. From the foccacio bread to the complimentary tiramisu sample, we had an exceptional afternoon visit with an old friend.

Several lunches and dinners during the following months confirmed that busy lunch hours and their much busier evening meals were just as well prepared. Simone recalled our quiet first visit. Now, with more diners, the wait staff had to work as a team to provide us with the same good service.

It may take a year or two for my family and friends to explore the entire menu but here are the basics:
- all soups were hot, delicious and could be a light meal
- the salad option with sandwiches was tasty and huge
- Lasagne is an entree that offers a perfect comparison with other Italian restaurants.
* The ROMA Antica Lasagne is a BIG pasta served with delicious sauces

This is another fine restaurant among several others in downtown Larkspur. If it’s breakfast you’re looking for ROMA begins serving at noon.

However, if you go down Magnolia to the traffic light and turn right ~100 feet you’ll discover Farm House Local, open from 07:00 to 15:00. They have a delicious breakfast menu.

Great food and service, delicious fare made authentically and with care. The staff are friendly, attendant, and have a good time. We really liked everything we tried (bruschetta, Brussels, pizza, specials, pastas), and since one dish was a little late coming out, they sent a complimentary tiramisu (which was exceptional). Definitely going back to try more of the menu.
