    We came in an hour late for our reservation, having waited for friends to arrive through customs at the airport. What we needed was good food and a good glass of wine. At Vasco we had both!

    Great food, reasonable prices (for Mill Valley), excellent service. Trout, lasagna and berry tart all receive high marks.

    I've been coming to vasco is now for probably about 20 years and it's an unpretentious wonderful Italian restaurant just on the corner downtown. Some the waiters have been working there for 20 or 25 years and it's settled into a very respectable position of local restaurants.

    Affordable and tasty Italian dishes and brick oven pizzas are served here. Vasco is one of the only restaurants in Mill Valley, and by "late" I mean 9:30pm. Forget what their listed closing time says. The kitchen will completely shut down by 9:30 and the restaurant will clear out by 10:00. It's par for the course for sleepy Mill Valley.
