Delicious dinner and outstanding service from Toni, including her skilled preparation of a Cesar salad done at our table. Pro tip: Cesar salad made fresh at your table is totally worth it - don't skimp on this. Crab cakes were also delicious and served with an amazing grilled fresh corn salsa. Like the Cesar, crab cakes is a dish where the quality of the ingredients really shines through - and these crab cakes really shine. We chose the Cioppino for our entree and really enjoyed the fresh tasting garlicky tomato sauce and the nice variety of seafood. Dessert did not disappoint either. We shared a slice of key lime pie with a toasted coconut sorbet and a fresh berry reduction which were perfect compliments. Two kinds of delicious bread and a nice bottle of Mark West Pinot. We could not have been happier - this place is great.
An authentic seafood restaurant with wide variety of different types of seafood. Loved the lobster and fish over here. Drinks and dessert are also fantastic. Prompt service with quality and fresh seafood served always. They even serve the local famous seafood dish of chowder. It’s great. Washrooms are well maintained and hygienic.
I wanted to like it. I thought the food was good, but we got a bad taste in our mouth from the service. We were there when they opened, but we're told we couldn't sit at one of the many four tops by the window (still empty when we left), because we only had two in our party. Okay, fair enough. But then, they sat a party of two that also requested a four top by the window minutes after we sat down (still multiple tables were empty). Our server was pretty condescending and wouldn't make eye contact, as if we were a burden and he was rushing us. Multiple times we noticed his other tables were receiving more attention, water glasses being filled, polite conversation, checking in to see if anything was needed. It was strange, he would make the rounds to check on his tables and wouldn't come by ours. We either flagged him down or just made it work. It was noticeable that he was not giving us the same level of service.
My husband and I are a young traveling couple, so I guess he thought he didn't have to treat us with the same decency as some of the older patrons in the restaurant. I was close to getting the manager near the close (the server knew at the point I was heated and was trying to play nice as he dropped off our $80 lunch tab), but I didn't want to ruin the rest of our day with the negativity..honestly, wasn't sure if the manager shared the same attitude.
I would just say keep a closer eye on your waitstaff, because they're your first-line of customer service.
Nice restaurant. Easy to get to Downtown with parking right outside the door next to the pier. Service is very good and they'll make sure to get you seats with a nice view of the water even if its pitch black outside. Prices are comparable to the other dining spots nearby. They're known for their oysters but the night we dined here we ate very light and did not order any. Your meal comes with complimentary sourdough bread and butter. You must get their clam chowder! It's rich, creamy and has bacon in it! I enjoyed the shrimp Louie with homemade dressing on the side. Their beet salad looked and tasted really good. I will come back next time to try their oysters.
