A solid neighborhood restaurant. Drinks were good and mussels were impressively tender, but I really enjoyed the french toast. It was what I needed: good bread, almost like pudding fragrant with butter, super viscous syrup, and delicate cream. The joys of sugar!!
This was our second time eating at this restaurant. It’s always good to get two data points. The first time we had an exceptional maître d’ who made us feel totally at home. She was generous kind and gave us a beautiful table outside. Our waiter on the first visit was exceptional. He was engaging, not overly attentive, knowledgeable, and polite. Our second visit started with a trip to the bar, the bartender immediately greeted us with a fine cocktail perfectly made with first class ingredients. Again our waiter and maître d’ were most excellent. Both times we have been there the food stood out as properly prepared French cuisine, exceptional saucing, and a good balance of ingredients. The fish was a bit over cooked. Steak tartare needs a bit more spicing. These are small things in comparison to the way we felt when we left.Thank you we will be back.
We're delighted to have a new local restaurant in the mix and have enjoyed both the food and atmosphere at Petite Left Bank, but they have some kinks to work out. The food is delicious but on each of the three visits I told them I have a dairy sensitivity and asked them to put the parmesan on the side (for my wife to eat) on the garlic fries, but the servers failed to make the connection that there was dairy in the other dishes we ordered and didn't inform me. Thankfully I'm just dairy-intolerant and it's not a full on allergy. Also the chef was able to alter the delicious sole dish to use olive oil instead of butter, and I'm so thankful! Hopefully they can educate the servers to ask about allergies and connect the dots for guests with their orders. We'll be happy to keep coming to this local spot!
There’s nothing like this in Marin! Paris comes to Tiburon. I say four plus stars all around. I thought that the service was exceptional. From host extraordinaire Frank to wonderful server Millie and everyone in between.
The food was exceptional! And the intimate sophisticated yet fun and casual atmosphere was beyond! We will definitely go back and I encourage everyone to check it out.
The mussels were delicious and the service was... As anticipated by reading other reviews.... Not quite there. BUT... They did recognize it and surprised us with discounting the items that were (almost) forgotten from the bill. Appreciated the gesture!
