Sam Cafe

One of the best Thai meals we ever had.
We came here on our way from Yosemite, hungry after 3 days of pizzas and cold sandwiches and weren’t expecting much, but boy did this place impress! The fried rice, the different curries were all great. Thumbs up from this group of veg and non veg eating foodies!

The food here is tasty and the atmosphere is relaxing... I give this part of the review 5 stars...
The building needs some repairs... 3 stars for this...

From the outside the place might not look like much, but it's worth checking out. I used to love this place when I lived in town a decade ago. I had to come back when I came through town. I had the Pad Thai with a spicy level of five out of ten. It's still very spicy but overall the dish was much sweeter than I was expecting. Definitely one of the better options to eat in town. The serving size is large and the price is also very reasonable for what you get.

The staff is always friendly and the service is great. It's a bit of a trip from the UCM campus but it was worth it every time.

My favorite restaurant for 2018 up until this past Saturday. The young lady that waited our table was rude & gross. 1st she didn't give us straws for our drinks after our initial request and I literally had to get up from my table to get one. Next after this same waitress serves our food she wipes the snot from her nose with her bare hand as she walks away.
The older and younger gentleman that work there are very respectful people if you see her request for another waiter.

We have been to Sams many times. It is always special when he is there. He stops by to chat with you and makes sure you are well taken care of. They will make your food at whatever spice level you can handle. We like it hot and he knows just how to make that happen. Love the pad Thai, curry with chicken potatoes and coconut milk. Thai tea is perfect with it. His spring rolls are awesome. Great food and good people keep us returning.
