The rooms were tiny but the beds were comfortable. I do feel that maintenance had to do a little bit more work on a few things such as hinges on bathroom doors. It looked like it had an original bathtub and those could be re- furbished. They definitely need a new finish. Other than a few small maintenance issues everything else was really nice.
I've lived in town a few years now but never thought to actually sit and dine in here. I've always done drinks to go really; but today my sister and I had brunch there and the experience was wonderful and delicious. I had a salad that was a sweet new taste compared to the ranches and ceasars everywhere else and ended up being just the right salad for me. Quality was excellent, I ended up ordering something extra to-go for my boyfriend at home and it too looks wonderful. Staff was delightfully cheery and I've always loved the rustic atmosphere inside.
Beautiful Hotel great customer service there restaurant is gorgeous with great food. There's two bars one in the restaurant and another next door. They make amazing drinks and the bartenders are super sweet. If you have the chance to check it out you definitely should. Its right on the main strip so its within walking distance and anything you could need. The history behind is amazing and they say the 3rd floor is haunted which makes for a very unique experience.
Has a great vibe to it. Wanted to stop in for to the rumors that it may be haunted because I'm a spooky kid like that.
No supernatural happenings but it was a great stay and very affordable. I was in the dormitory style 3rd floor which was very clean and the shared bathrooms were spotless and well kept.
It is an older building so you may feel vibrations as trucks drive by but it didn't bother me.
The salon was also great for a couple drinks and alturas is a great town to stop in if you're doing a road trip.
My husband, 2 children and I loved our stay. All of the staff was nice, although may still need some customer service training. Our server and dinner at the roadhouse was excellent, and we were pleasantly surprised with the quality and quantity of the food, plus very affordable and accommodating. Our room was absolutely gorgeous along with the rest of the hotel. We loved the creaky floor, seriously. This dated hotel is the perfect little place if you like historical places. It may or may not be haunted, just ask the pictures in the hallway. Cannot recommend Hotel Niles enough.
