Ripplewood Resort

Old-timy cabins. Get one on the river with a fireplace and kitchen if you can. Not fancy, but cozy and dry. Buy food and wine at a grocery store in Carmel on the way down and save some money by cooking a meal or two while you kick back.

Its not Ventana or Post Ranch by any means, but might yield even fonder memories.

Delicious food, attentive and nice staff and the outside deck area was simply beautiful with all its natural habitat surroundings.

Cute comfortable cabins in the woods. Sweet, helpful staff. Nice cafe for lunch and breakfast. Excellent coffee. Gas available.

Excellent location literally on the river, away from the highway, and surrounded by redwoods. Beautiful. The cabin was rustic but functional and clean. Staff was very friendly. Our only issue was our visit to the cafe where the food was good but mostly cold when it arrived.

We stayed at Ripplewood for only one night at the end of October but wished we had more time to be able to stay longer. My partner had stayed many years before so for her it was nice to revisit a place she had fond memories of. We had a small cabin to our selves which was perfect, it was very clean and tidy. Staff were welcoming and friendly, we booked over the phone by calling from the UK with no issues. I’d recommend staying and going down to the beach at night to see the stars, with so little light pollution the sky is absolutely amazing.
