Very pleasantly surprised by this farm-to-table bistro. The menu is seasonal if not extensive. A great reason to pull off 101 and visit historic King City.

The food here was great. Not immediately off the freeway for travelers, not unreasonably far for something fantastic on your way to the bay. The cocktails were great and we tried two sandwiches that were both awesome. The staff was great and everything came out quickly. If you're headed north take the extra 10 minutes to stop here instead of fast food.

The Cork & Plough is a hidden gem in King City!

It’s a little off the beaten path for someone traveling through town, but well worth the detour.

The servers were friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and attentive. Our server helped us with the menu and made some great recommendations. The bartender, Juice (his name), made special raspberry Lemon Drops for my mom and wife that got two thumbs up.

The food was all very tasty. The Chicken Wings with Spicy Thai sauce had a crispy-crust and juicy meat. The sauce was, as advertised, spicy and a bit on the sweet side. The soup of the day, potato leek, was well seasoned and chockfull of tasty potato bits. The Cuban Sandwich got mixed reviews: my wife loved it, my mom said it was good but she wouldn’t order it again (no meaningful elaboration). I tend to side with my wife.

The Braised Oxtail French Dip—which, for reasons I don’t understand, got negative reactions from my table just because of the cut of meat (you’ll eat his butt, but not his tail?)—was amazing! Imagine the best pot-roast ever made—fall apart tender, juicy, exploding with flavor—that’s what this was. Don’t miss out on this, order it.

All in all, we had a great experience that we were not expecting in a little farming community.

Too expensive but the food is good. "UPDATE" I have to stress the food is good, but not worth the price charged. My last experience her really burned me. I asked to be seated and was told I could sit at the bar. When I replied I wouldn't sit at the bar, I was rudely told "Well you can't stand here." [I did not wish to eat a dinner next to the inebriated people already seated there]. For a place to charge what they do, they really need to understand customer service and put the service into it.

Pretty up scale for this little town town but great food. Has a decent sandwich menu for lunch and soups and salads. Not sure about dinner but I had a burger with pulled pork on top. It was cooked to order and had a sauce that was pretty tasty. Along with fries and a house made ketchup it was a pretty good lunch for $15
