So far I've tried the Arrachera, Asada and Chile Verde and had a Al Pastor Bowl. It is amazing comfort food and I will scream this from the top of my lungs, Go For The Guac! Not only is the food full of flavor, it's convenient to take to go. The rice tastes just like my cousin makes, and when you're eating out at lunchtime, sometimes you just want that comfort food. The beer offerings are exactly what you would want as well. The ACE Pineapple Cider goes well with the Al Pastor Tacos. Definitely worth a visit if you're visiting Monterey or out after a night at Karaoke on Alvarado Street.

Besides the alcohol options I had a difficult time telling the difference between this and Chipotle. Yes, they offer nice portions, but $14 for (2) tacos some beans and rice is a high price. Especially since most of my food was definitely on the colder side. Not much changed with the interior decor since last owner. Time will tell how they are accepted in the community with franchise competition right down the street.

This place serves great fast-casual Mexican food. I ordered a birria bowl and two tacos (grilled chicken/pastor) and both were delicious. Was pleasantly surprised by the portions, and the tortillas were homemade. Salsas were very good, but very hot (worth a try). Lots of beers on tap, including Alvarado Street.

I thought the meat options stood out the most, as some options (birria/lengua/marrinated shrimp) are not items you can get at any old Mexican restaurant.
    Definitely coming back here soon!

Authentic Mexican food with a chipotle-style custom toppings lineup to build-your-own-bowl & burritos combined with a warm and friendly downtown setting are sure to turn this new gem into a local favorite.

    -Good prices
    -Fresh Ingredients and big portions
    -Friendly spacious modern ambience
    -Eco friendly non-plastic takeout.
-Bar with local beer on tap (Alvarado street brewery! Skip the lines and get it here)
    -Vegan Friendly

Very reasonable prices for hefty portions of high quality food.

I am vegan and was extremely well received at the restaurant, everyone was friendly and accommodating, even mentioning that they are looking at soy / tofu options for those who prefer no animal products.

Since this is a soft opening, I look forward to coming again and seeing the evolution of the place.

    Thank you!
