Stopped by Norma's Family Restaurant for steak and eggs. The cook was disappointing. Nothing was wrong with the steak, it appeared to be of good quality. The cook ruined the steak. I am not exaggerating, the steak had the appearance of boiled meat. It was served with a uniform grayish color. There was no indication the meat had been on the grill. Also, the steak was undercooked and tasted... soggy. Eggs and hash browns were quite good, as was the coffee. The biscuit? Not so much. It had a sour taste. What I didn't understand is the biscuit was made with buttermilk. I guess buttermilk biscuits are supposed to taste a little sour. I just do not like buttermilk.

The young waitress was wonderful. She was attentive, energetic, engaging and of pleasant humor. She earned Norma's a third star.

It's enjoyable sitting at the counter, sipping coffee, and reading newspaper reports of the day's events.

In spite of the hugely disappointing steak,  I'll go back.

Oh! There's loads of free parking. The men's room is clean. I just cannot get over  how the cook ruined a perfectly good cut of meat.

Although the long time blonde waitress is great, this place is usually my last choice.

Food is expensive for the quality and quantity. Tends to be bland. Norma's buffet is setup so no one can seat themselves at the counter. Also, the buffet items have little flavor.

My usual order is a Club sandwich with fries. Hard to mess that up. Their coffee is good. The TV keeps me interested.

This place has gotten much better.
    No longer my last choice.
Like watching network news, in spite of the chanel being neither fair nor balanced.

    Little SNAFU today.
    They never brought my toast.
Waitress was kind enough to appropriately discount the meal.
    So, all is good.

Decent food, nice salad bar, the service can be a bit slow. The carnitas and avocado sandwich is pretty good.
I haven't found a better, reasonably priced diner in the area yet.

This is our go to breakfast spot. They have a great breakfast menu and it's really reasonably priced. It's not a very busy establishment and the service is really nice. Lunch menu is good but it's not a great place for dinner, breakfast and lunch are better. It's family friendly as well.
