Great Mexican food, family run, cheerful atmosphere, small bar area, TVs on wall, and reasonable prices. The fajitas, burritos, and enchiladas are all good. Watch out: the sweet drinks (i.e. blended strawberry margaritas) are intentionally made extra sweet because the management believes that's the way customers want it. If that's what you want, great, otherwise order a lime-based drink.
Update, almost a year later. Been back numerous times, still great food and service. It can be crowded on a Friday evening since it's popular. Will return.

We love Jose's. Our daughter was grown on Jose's fajitas! It was all I craved while I was pregnant-- we were there just about every day. The owner and his family and their staff are great, friendly, and will get you seated and fed in no time. Parking is a little weird if you are coming in on Del Monte from Monterey, but just take a breath and don't give up on getting to this place. You have to turn right on Broadway even though it looks like you can turn into the lot from Del Monte.

Jose's is super good authentic Mexican food. We got there late on a Friday night. Nancy, was so helpful, attending, a wonderful waitress! Our food was excellent! Our drinks were very good, heavy pours. The place is clean, quiet, and I would hang out here every week, if I lived closer!
