The Charter Oak Restaurant

We had brunch here on Easter--it was absolutely fantastic. Thoughtful space, fantastic service, cold Champagne and fresh, beautifully prepared food. Favorites included crudités with fermented soy dip (YES, raw veggies and dip, definitely get it), cast iron baked apple pancake and english muffin with cured trout roe and accompaniments. So delicious, can not wait to go back.

This place was amazing. Loved the ambiance and how open the restaurant was made byc eliminating the booths. We were there for Easter brunch and the staff was incredible, as was the food! Everything was cooked to perfection, crispy trout skin, perfectly pickled vegetables, fluffed butter rice, and doughnut holes. The drinks were very well proportioned and not heavy handed. All in all, it was one of the best experiences we've had in quite some time!

Absolutely one of my favorites! Food is always on point. Great spot for table or even just seats at the bar. They also started a happy hour!

Best restaurant experience in the St. Helena area by far. From the creative cocktails to the thoughtful sides, this is the most satisfying luxury dining destination in St. Helena. The steak is wonderful and the monthly visiting wing specials are fun. But the vegetable side dishes that change seasonally are not to be missed: order the broccoli salad, the fingerling potatoes with honey, seaweed and brown butter. Crave-worthy seasonal favorites include the pickled and smoked purple okra and the Lima beans in a chili sauce.

Verging on a five. Excellent food, service, drinks. Great knowledge by the service staff. Fresh, local, interesting choices, but a few more choices on the menu, please. Well definitely go again, suspect I'll update to full five stars based on an excellent experience.
