Always love coming here when we’re in Napa. Make sure to sit on the patio and get the fried olives. Had the sea bass this time, and the fish was great but the sauce was way too rich. Also, everything is super expensive but it’s Napa so not surprising.
Love the food and feel of this place. Great outdoor terrace, adorable bar on the ground level, lovely dining room upstairs. Try the pig ears, you won't regret it!
Good vibe! Friendly service, amazing wine and beverage list
Interesting, diverse menu. Very tasty.
We will return.
My group of 18 ladies had dinner at Goose an Gander to celebrate a birthday. We had a reservation but we arrived early. We waited in the downstairs bar until we could be seated. We ordered cocktails which were wonderful and enjoyed by all. We ordered several appetizers of chicken wings both wet and dry with duck fat fries and we absolutely loved them. I ordered the hamburger cooked medium and it was delicious. Several of us had to send the fries back because they weren’t hot but they were more than gracious and immediately brought out piping hot and delicious duck fat fries. Many in the group ordered the various seafood selections and the ribeye special. Everyone was more than pleased. We were such a large group and were dreading the payment process but to our surprise the staff brought out individual bills for all 18 of us. We of course didn’t ask for separate checks because most places refuse to provide them. Needless to say that was icing on the cake. Our food was delicious, the drinks were wonderful and the service was excellent.
How can you not get excited by the variety of perfectly executed flavour combinations?
We were traveling between Sacramento and San Fran and couldn’t pass a chance to stop in the Napa Valley. My favourite places are comfortable, cozy and serious about their food. This is one of my favourite places.
The entries varied widely, by so many sounded delicious and we couldn’t commit. Ultimately we orders a selection of appetizers to try out the handy work of the kitchen. They didn’t disappoint. The flavours were intense and real. The combinations were inventive and intriguing. I wouldn’t hesitate to take anyone who appreciates good food. The kitchen is serious about making delicious food using California’s abundant fresh ingredients.
The waitress we had (Jan I believe) was excellent. She was attentive without hovering and knew the menu very well. After dinner I thanked the chef for a memorable and delicious meal.
Do yourself a favour - make plans to go.
