Tofanelli's

This place is soooo good. The outside patio is absolutely beautiful. We came here and got seated right away. Although we thought they forgot about us I went and asked the waiter Tristan if he could help us and from that point on Tristan was the best server we had ever had. Such great service and amazing food. I totally recommend this place

Great restaurant and atmosphere. Open for B/ L/ D. Outdoor seating, indoor garden seating or old time bar/ cafe seating. Lots of variety on the menu with vegetarian and vegan options available, as well as steaks, chicken and fish. Everything is fresh.

It's a quaint little indoor historical feeling brick room with a bar but also has a partial glass patio and a huge outdoor eating areas. In the heart of old Town Grass Valley. Food is adequate but not fancy to frequent. Staff is not memorable to say either way, thus it must have been pleasant. Hostess I do remember being frazzled with a packed waiting room trying to avoid eye contact of new comers but understandable with change in weather that brings out the crowds. Parking lot is tiny but street parking available, just remember to curb your tires to avoid a ticket.

Parking for a large vehicle is tough, but possible I went on a rainy day in March, so the patio was not open. The bar was reserved for a private party. My timing was perfect as I got the last available two top. Had the prime rib special which is only available Friday and Saturday. Very well prepared and one if not the only place in Grass Valley that has prime rib. Service was constant and consistent with all Staff helping all tables. I'd love to return in warmer months to see what fun the patio seating can add.
