“This place has water sports (SUP, kayaking, etc) rentals, and an area to swim in the lake. The bathrooms are clean and the beach is pretty. It is a little bit crowded, and the snacks at the snack bar are overpriced. It is a really fun place to go to.”

“We tried downhill skiing here the week before Christmas. It was my 8-year-old daughter’s first time skiing, so we got a one hour private lesson at 9am (arrived at 8am to get our rental gear and lift tickets). The staff were friendly and welcoming — even the parking attendants! The instructor was fabulous and knowledgeable, and had my daughter fully ready for the bunny hill within an hour. There wasn’t much snow, so only one trail was open — but we had plenty of fun. There weren’t many people, so we had more room to ski (great for beginners!) Lunch was pretty good, and there was good hot chocolate…”

“Oh wow! If you are visiting Lake Tahoe and aiming to eat Vegan - this is the (maybe only) place worthy of dining at. Yes, it is a food truck, but on Monday’s they have a private, multi-course, vegan supper club inside. Mountain Lotus Provisions serves a delicious dive into American fusion with their “Bun Mi Burger” a flavorful and savory American twist on the French influenced, Vietnamese classic Bahn Mi. You will get a meaty vegan patty topped with thinly sliced carrots, cucumber, jalapeños, and a secret sauce. As badge of honor for finding a hidden gem like Mountain Lotus Provisions, treat yourself to some toasted coconut ice cream (vegan) at the truck right next to this one. Seriously- vegans, go here if you’re in Truckee/Tahoe! Lastly, there is plenty of shaded seating outside, and make sure to bring wet wipes for your hands because this burger is too good it might leave your hands a mess. I love this place!”

“Incredibly fun stop for breakfast. I had the most nutritious baked goods on the menu. Though just another oat milk latte, it was an astounding work of art with the greatly detailed heart design making an amazing fit for Valentine's Day season. The service was just amazingly chill, smiley, and outgoing. If only the cheese scone and quiche things at least been better than okay, or if the staff had offered to heat up the pastries. Food has room for improvement, but this place is a super fun experience of a stop that is open at 6 in the morning:)”

“First time here since it became Mehfil Bistro. The food was very good, highlights being the lamb Rogan Josh and the bread basket. All of the naans were delicious. “We had an unexpected detour from I 80 on Sunday night. The Pub was open with lots of lively locals cheering for the 49ers. Server recommended the pulled pork sandwich special with special (delicious) fried potatoes. We also ordered the elk sausage platter with mashed potatoes and a sophisticated mushroom sauce which was awesome. Food was served promptly and everything was delicious.
