I really enjoy local food in Hawaii (my favorite reason for going there). It is hard to find Hawaiian style food in Southern California, but Matiki fills that void admirably. The food is really quite good, particularly the Kalbi. If I close my eyes it is almost like I'm back in Oahu.!

So good, get #1, the beef ribs, especially if it's the first time, and maybe the only time you get to visit. Parking lot out in front, didn't seem too difficult to find immediate parking. No tap water available. Cheapest bottled water is a $1 (Kroger), smart water for $2, so bring your own water if that doesn't appeal to you.

The Best local Hawaii food I have ever had! The plates are huge and loaded with the best kalbi and Teri steak. One plate easily can feed 2 people. The hands down best local Hawaii food in California. If there's someplace better, I haven't been there yet. Do yourself a favor. If you from Hawaii, you need to eat here.

Great service and so much meat on the plate wow! The wait is like 10 Mts there are about 12 tables. We ordered to go and we will be back. The Kahuna plate means chicken beef and short ribs with rice salad and Mac. Each plate is around 12 bucks except for the Kahuna. It is worth as you get a lot. The meat was tender and well marinated. Two thumbs up!
