We really loved this place and were so happy to find an opening for reservations. Whenever we go back to Disneyland i will make sure to make reservations months ahead of time. The food was amazing and i had the best shrimp and grits ever there.
Oh the gumbo!
We reserved a table for 2 months before on the Disney website/app. There are options to do stand- by, but that could take some time depending on the weekend or weekday. We were seated within 5 minutes of checking in. It was a little funny to be in a "nicer" restaurant with a higher price point, while being in quite casual clothing having spent all day in the park. The restaurant is located inside of the Pirates of Caribbean ride, so it's fun ambience (dimly lit, lanterns, crickets, etc). We ordered for starters the beet salad and gumbo. The gumbo was divine! We also ordered the rack of lamb and seafood pasta. Not the best we've ever had, but they were good. The creme brulee was a perfect way to end the meal. The staff (Rosie and Quinn) was kind and attentive--we appreciated the service. Overall, we had a pleasant experience and would recommend a visit at the Blue Bayou!
I try to eat here at least once every time I visit Disneyland. I like the shrimp and grits. My friend had the soup of the day which was a chowder that looked really good. The beignets were quite good but I could have done without the coffee powdered topping. Sitting outside is fun if it has not been raining.
Great place to eat in Disneyland. The Monte Cristo sandwich is wonderful. It's the same sandwich they serve at the Blue Bayou, but it's a few bucks less. Although, being Disneyland, it's definitely not cheap! Make reservations via the Disneyland app, and expect to wait up to 15 minutes even with reservations. The outdoor seating is better, but probably not worth waiting more than a few extra minutes.
We went to Disneyland for the first time ever and it was down pouring. Flood warnings everywhere. We made a reservation and were warmed quickly. They served the food quickly and kept telling us no reason to rush back in to the rain. They went out of their way to help one another and work as a team and were so fun and polite. Wonderful people and service.
