Good food. But the people are too nice.
I know that there are many poki joints out there, but this is one of my favorite. They have very generous portion, and give you time to place your order. Walking in, I know this is a mom and pop's joint, so I wasn't expecting anything special, but this place really surprised me with how spacious it is. They have full air conditioner. It is very clean. When ordering you have a choice of two size, medium for 8.75 or large for 10.75, not knowing what to expect, I ordered a medium. The fish tasted really fresh, and the sauce tasted just right. This place is a hidden gem in Anaheim, and is a must try whenever you are in town.
This place is awesome. I work nearby and debated between Poke Bento and Poke Town. Poki Town wins hands down. Here is my exp:
Poki Town is a family owned restaurant with Dad and Mom running the shop. You can tell they dedicated themselves to this restaurant. The food is tasty and hits the spot. If you want to feel like a King don't come here, if you want something simple and satisfying come here.
Poke Bento on the other hand was a waste. Food was good but nothing special. When ordering I had to deal with one of those entitled teens who talked to me as though she was allowing me to eat there. Not something I want to experience during my lunch time and/or support with my money.
This is starting to be one of my favorite Poki places. The couple who own the restaurant are very friendly and there are lots of things to like about the place. The music they play is good, the service is good, the atmosphere is comfortable, and of course the food is delicious. They offer a discount of $1 for those with a student ID and with that the price is definitely worth the amount they give.
