So good!! We got it delivered thru Uber Eats (pandemic, you know). Bibimbap was well cooked & really yummy, & the bulgogi beef was awesome, as were the dumplings. Wish the bibimbap didn't have the lettuce, & that there was more of the pickles (i think they're radishes, but not 100% sure...just know they're delicious & I want more). 100% ordering from here again & going in when the world is done ending.

The naengmyun is good, but the noodle was a bit undercooked. Everything else, the banchan, the free thrifys ice cream was yummy.

I’ve never been to Somunnan (the original concept by the same owner in Cerritos), but read about it and saw this closer new location so decided to check it out. It was around 5:30pm on a Saturday.

This place reminds me of a shop you might find in a large Korean market’s food court, only located in a regular strip mall. You order at the counter, grab your own sides (banchan and salad) and sit. Once your food is ready, pick up your tray and take it to your table.
The decor is minimalist. The furnishings are simple and functional.

Now for the food. I really appreciated the variety of items on the menu. They had soups, stews, cold and hot noodle dishes, bbq and mixed rice bowls (bibimbap). They had some Chinese/Korean crossover dishes like jjajangmyun and jjambbong.
We started with the salad and sides. Decent assortment of items to choose from. No real standouts. For entrees on this visit we ordered the kalbi tang and gamja tang and a small order of dumplings.
The dumplings were steamed and tasty. The kalbi tang was savory and flavorful. The meat was tender and fell off the bone. The gamja tang was good too. I’m not a fan of all of the bones you have to navigate, but I get that that’s the way the dish is traditionally prepared. Medium spicy was pretty tame.
When you’re done eating, just return your trays to the return spot.
A nice touch is the complimentary ice cream for dessert.

One small thing they could do is label the salad dressings. Hopefully they will have beer and wine soon.

Overall, a decent spot for a quick and hearty meal with little fuss. This is the type of place I wish they would put in at Packing House! It needs a good Korean spot and this would be a great addition to the mix.
